Awabakal NAIDOC Festival
Rick headed to the Awabakal NAIDOC Festival, held by the City of Newcastle at the Foreshore. A great day out and we even crossed paths with one of our NSWICC Assured Members, Cherie from Speaking in Colour!
Redfern Community NAIDOC Festival at NCIE
Rebecca then spent the day at NAIDOC at NCIE, soaking up all the deadly organisations on full display. Always such a powerful reminder of the strength, creativity and resilience in our communities.
Another NSWICC Assured Member was spotted, the amazing Margie from Woven on Country. Margie creates stunning handmade pieces using native seeds, seed pods, gumnuts, gum leaves, pine needles, native grasses and more, each item carrying story, culture and Country.
So proud to see out mob showcasing culture with such beauty and integrity. These are the moments that fill your cup.
