Re-launch of Our Mob on Country 

The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) are excited to announce the re-launch of Our Mob on Country. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities by helping mob understand who we are, what we do, and how to apply for our roles.

The site breaks down barriers to applying for roles at DPHI by:

  • Simplifying our application and recruitment processes through an application guide
  • Embedding culturally responsive advice and guidance
  • Providing direct access to the Aboriginal Careers and Capability team
  • Offering sign-up for updates on Aboriginal identified and targeted roles

Senior Policy Officer - Aboriginal Targeted

    • Aboriginal targeted, Permanent and Temporary (Up to 12 months) full-time opportunities.
    • Office location based in Parramatta with flexible working supported | Other NSW DPHI locations by negotiation
    • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 + super

The Senior Policy Officer works in partnership with Aboriginal communities and government agencies to support fair and informed approaches to native title matters in NSW. The role focuses on listening, building trust and providing clear advice that respects Aboriginal cultural connections to Country, while helping government decision‑makers navigate sensitive issues and work collaboratively toward balanced outcomes.

 

Support Line Officer

    • Ongoing full-time opportunity (35 hours per week)
    • NSW Office location negotiable with flexible working supported
    • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $84,659.00 to $92,701.00 plus super (Clerk Grade 3/4)

The Support Line Officer keeps the support line and helpdesk running smoothly by handling inbound calls and enquiries from councils and the public, logging and tracking matters, and following up to resolve issues. The role balances customer service, administrative tasks and reporting, using established systems and processes while keeping up with changing procedures and service expectations.
