The Council of the City of Sydney ("the City") invites tenders for the carrying out of construction works for the Ward Park Upgrade in accordance with this Request for Tender.
Background and Overview
Ward Park is a significant green space in Surry Hills, heavily used by a broad cross-section of the community including local dog-walkers and commuters, skate and playground users and people enjoying calm recreation and reflection. Ward Park renewal is part of the 10-Year Parks Renewal Program, initiated due to the park's overall condition.
The City has an ongoing parks and playgrounds improvement program. The program aims to improve the quality of open space and play experiences, provide a diverse range of play opportunities and improve the amenity of green spaces in our neighbourhoods. Ward Park site interfaces with live roadways and a functioning light rail corridor. The site is bounded.
The proposed scope of works (this Tender) includes the demolition of existing playgrounds and the construction of a playground and adjacent areas including walls, paths, signage, park furniture, playground equipment, irrigation, fencing, turf, garden beds, lighting and services.

T-2025-1472 – Cook & Philip Park Pool HVAC Installation and Domestic Hot Water Electrification - Opportunity Listing
The City of Sydney ("the City") invites Requests for Tender for the carrying out of design, supply, installation and commissioning HVAC units and domestic hot water systems for the Cook & Philip Park Pool in accordance with this request.
Background
Cook and Philip Park Pool (CPP) is a recreational facility in the CBD. It hosts a 50m pool as well as hydrotherapy, leisure pool and a fitness centre. All pools are heated making them perfect for year-round swimming.
The City has committed to eliminate natural gas use from its operations. The City has ongoing electrification projects of its 6 aquatic centres, with this project addressing the electrification of the domestic hot water and space heating in the gym and offices of CPP.

T-2025-1646 - Construction Contractor - Bay Street Depot Enabling Works - Workspace Fit Out
The City of Sydney (the City) invites Requests for Tender for the carrying out of Bay Street Depot Enabling Works - Workspace Fit out in accordance with this request.
The Bay Street Depot is the City’s oldest working depot, operating continuously for over 100 years. The site has been expanded and developed progressively in response to population growth and changes in technology and operational requirements.
The City intends to relocate Infrastructure Services team’s existing operational staff, plant and equipment and facilities, including office and workshop spaces for the interim depot in Bay Street Depot (Western side) and Alexandra Canal Depot (ACD).
Works will be undertaken on two sites as outlined below:
Site 1: Bay Street Depot, 10-16 Bay Street, Ultimo NSW 2007
Site 2: Alexandra Canal Depot (ACD), 67c Bourke Road, Alexandra NSW 2015

Request for Information - Redfern Neighbourhood Parks Upgrades
The City of Sydney is seeking information on landscape construction services for the upgrade of three interconnected open spaces in Redfern—Redfern Community Centre Open Space, Yellomundee Park, and Hugo Street Reserve. These sites are culturally significant, particularly for the Redfern First Nations community.
The project will involve engaging a Head Contractor, who will be provided with details of interested Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander suppliers to consider as subcontractors for demolition, earthworks, and construction activities.
This Request for Information (RFI) is an information-gathering exercise to help the City understand market capability, capacity, and interest. Participation is voluntary, and respondents may answer all or part of the RFI. The process is separate from any future procurement and will not influence subsequent tendering opportunities.

T-2025-1530- Redfern Oval Sportsfield Upgrade
The City of Sydney (the City) invites Tenders for construction services for Redfern Oval Sportsfield Upgrade in accordance with this request for tender (RFT). The City has an ongoing parks renewal program. The program aims to improve the quality of open space and play experiences, provide a diverse range of play opportunities and improve the amenity of green spaces in our neighbourhoods.
Redfern Oval is located on Chalmers Street between Redfern and Phillip Streets, Redfern.
The City is proposing to upgrade the Redfern Oval in late 2026 to enhance the quality, durability, and functionality of the sports field.
The scope of works consists of two main parts:
• upgrade of the field surface; and
• upgrade of the irrigation and water supply systems.
The City is seeking to engage a suitably experienced contractor team to deliver the Redfern Oval Sportsfield Upgrade.
The Contractor will be required to carry out the construction works for the Redfern Oval Sportsfield Upgrade in accordance with the Specifications and Contract. Works onsite must commence 12 October 2026 and be completed (including 10-week maintenance period) prior to 19 February 2027.
Tender Award is anticipated by 1 September 2026.

T-2026-1776 Chinatown Decorative Installation for Sydney Lunar Festival
The Council of the City of Sydney ("the City") invites tenders for the design, installation and de-installation of a Chinatown Decorative Installation in accordance with this Request for Tender.
Sydney Lunar Festival has grown to become one of the largest celebrations of the Lunar New Year outside of Asia. The festival started in 1995 as a community street market and has developed to include the opening event Sydney Lunar Streets, an extensive community performance program and over 70 associated events.
With this in mind, the City seeks Service Provider to design, manufacture, install and de-install a Chinatown Decorative Installation in Dixon Street for the 2027 Sydney Lunar Festival; with two options to re-stage for the 2028 and further 2029 events, as outlined in the specification, and in accordance with the Key Dates. The Chinatown Decorative Installation will be exhibited outdoors for approximately three weeks during each Event period.
