The City of Sydney's new grants programs opens for applications on Tuesday 21st July.
If you plan to deliver a project or program in the 2027 calendar year, this is your annual opportunity to apply for funding.
Key changes to note:
- One main funding round per year
- The round is open longer for applications - 6 weeks instead of 4 weeks
- No longer a standalone Festivals and Events grant
- Applicants apply under the program that best matches their event's main purpose.
- No longer a standalone Innovation and Ideas grant
- Applications that foster innovation and new ideas can apply under the program that best fits their project
- More opportunities to connect with the grants team. As well as the grant briefings, you can book in some time to chat to the grants team directly to discuss your project.

T-2025-1648 - Head Construction Contractor - Green Park Renewal
The City of Sydney invites Requests for Tender for the carrying out of Construction Works for the Green Park Renewal in accordance with this request.
Project Overview.
Green Park is a significant green space in Darlinghurst, heavily used by a broad cross-section of the community including local dog-walkers and commuters, hospital visitors, rough sleepers and people enjoying calm recreation and reflection.
Green Park has been identified as part of the parks and playgrounds improvement program. The project brief is to refurbish the park to create a high quality, inclusive and accessible open space, and includes the restoration of the heritage bandstand and the creation of an AIDS memorial garden.
This Project includes an upgrade and renewal of Green Park, improving the existing green space to support a variety of uses and improve access for everyone. The park’s bandstand will be preserved and refurbished, and a new AIDS memorial garden will form part of its renewed landscape. The Project will include pathway and circulation improvements, improved lighting, new seating, increased planting and refurbished turf and ground treatments.
The key components for this Project are:

Park upgrade prioritises significant trees and urban canopy cover while improving access and retaining the heritage value of the park;• Transformation of the bandstand to restore its public focus and improve access around it while demonstrating a sensitivity to its setting;and

Developing a new AIDS Memorial garden which is integrated into the park landscape and invites reflection, commemoration, and healing.

The City of Sydney is seeking to establish a panel of providers for legal services in the following areas of law:

· Area 4 - Planning and Environment Law
· Area 5 - Employment Relations, Work Health and Safety Law
· Area 6 - Public Liability and Insurance Litigation
· Area 7 - Government, Regulatory, Administrative and General Litigation
Tenderers may tender for the complete range of services or select areas of law. The above listed areas of law are not intended to be exhaustive but instead provide a summary of the types of legal services required.

T-2025 -1669 - Synthetic Sports Field Services
The Council of the City of Sydney ("the City") invites tenders for the carrying out of Synthetic Sports Field Services (the Contract) in accordance with this Request for Tender (RFT). Under the Contract and as defined in PART B – Specification, the Service Provider will deliver core Services including quarterly deep cleaning, inspections, testing and asset condition reporting, and certification to maintain the synthetic fields in optimal condition for community use with an emphasis on performance, longevity, and sustainability.
Alongside the core Service requirements outlined in this tender, the scope of works will also include the provision of a Schedule of Rates for field grooming Services, minor renewal works and synthetic field repairs.
The Contract Service Area comprises of four synthetic sports fields, as defined in PART B – Specification. These include The Crescent Synthetic Sports Field, Getiela Synthetic Sports Field, Gunyama Synthetic Sports Field and Perry Park Synthetic Sports Field. It is possible that over the Further Term if awarded, there may be a growth in the quantity of synthetic sports field assets managed under this Contract, as a result of City project delivery of a new synthetic sports field at Mandible Street, Alexandria. The Contract would be varied to increase the quantity of assets managed under the Contract.
The Initial Term of the Contract will be for two years with two Further Terms of two years each. The indicative Commencement Date of Service is 1 December 2026. Any Further Term will be granted at the City's discretion and will be determined by the Service Provider's performance.
The City expects the Contract to be executed (Date of Contract) during November 2026 and Contract Commencement to be Tuesday 1 December 2026. The City Reserves the right to adjust these dates.
Tenderers must demonstrate that they have the capacity and resources to deliver the Services, including when they intend to use subcontractors.

T-2026-1738 - Cyber Security Advisory and Testing Services
The Council of the City of Sydney ("the City") invites Requests for Tender for the carrying out of Cyber Security Advisory and Testing Services of the City's technology infrastructure, applications (bespoke and third-party) and social engineering testing in accordance with this Request for Tender.
The core services that will be required to be delivered and fall into the scope of this RFT for purchase on an ad hoc basis are:

Compliance advisory services;

Australian Cyber Security Centre framework and industry security standards alignment assessments;

Annual network (internal, external and wireless) infrastructure security penetration testing;

Web application and API security testing; and
-
Social engineering testing.
The initial term will be three (3) years, with the City retaining the sole discretion to extend the contract for up to two additional periods of two (2) years each (a total of up to 7 years), in accordance with this RFT.
