The NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce (NSWICC) was proud to be represented by Lead Business Development Manager Rick Hughes at the recent City of Sydney Business Chambers Roundtable with Lord Mayor Clover Moore, held at Sydney Town Hall.
The roundtable provided an important opportunity to share perspectives on Indigenous business participation, economic development and the practical steps that can create stronger opportunities for Indigenous businesses across the City of Sydney local government area.
Discussions considered the City of Sydney's research and its Special Entertainment Precincts Strategy, alongside broader conversations about engagement, local opportunity and the role of business in building a more inclusive economy.
For NSWICC, participation in discussions such as these is vital. Genuine economic participation depends on early engagement, accessible information, and ongoing collaboration between Indigenous businesses, government and industry. These conditions help turn commitments into meaningful opportunities that support business growth, employment and stronger outcomes for communities.
NSWICC looks forward to continuing to work with the City of Sydney, Lord Mayor Clover Moore, and business leaders across the local government area to strengthen Indigenous economic participation and create more inclusive pathways to opportunity.
