NSWICC Joins NAIDOC Twilight Gathering in Redfern

NSWICC joined Gadigal Information Service and Koori Radio for their Twilight Rooftop Gathering in Redfern, a vibrant evening of culture, community and connection marking 50 Years of NAIDOC.

Held on 17 September at the rooftop venue at 27 to 29 Cope Street, the gathering opened with a Welcome to Country by Aunty Barb, followed by a Smoking Ceremony. The evening brought the rooftop to life through cultural activities, a weaving workshop, live music and a shared meal.

The event created a meaningful opportunity for community to come together and celebrate culture in the heart of Redfern. NSWICC was proud to be part of the occasion and to see the Djiyagiyulang-gal Enterprise Hub precinct alive with connection, storytelling and celebration.
